It's my birthmonth and I'm really hoping I can go hard like I want to. School is going to be a lot this month sadly, so i'm trying to figure out how I can reasonably celebrate while also staying on top of school work. I always say I don't have traits of a Leo, but I celebrate the all of August.

legit this is the second most annoying response to someone finding out you're asexual, right behind "oh wow that must be so hard"

I do not think the art I make for free is worthless, but it will be nice to see something I've honed and practiced for decades of my life actually bear fruit. Art is complicated, because I truly enjoy it, but it's not something that would sustain me without my safety net. I'm just yapping now.

It feels nice that I might actually get paid for something. Since I've been making a lot of music, but it's for school and I'm also a freelance composer and potter with no clients. I don't care how much it pays, it'll just be nice to have my efforts mean something in a tangible sense.

Life may suck right now for me, but I am potentially completing one of the major things I set out to do this year. Aside from the community band, I might be in an R&B group that plays at gigs and gets paid. This year feels like the year of loss, but I guess I'm also making progress.

So I worry that when everything is said and done, it's not going to matter. That got pretty dark and existential, but it's one of my biggest fears. I think we should band together and share our creativity with the world.

That's fair honestly. I just feel like my life and my learning is just picking up things that won't make me money. I know money isn't the end all be all and people consider art superfluous. But every path I've ever taken has always led me back to art. I feel it deep in my soul.

I wish Bluesky had polls, because I cannot make decisions. Should I start Bananza tomorrow on stream or continue playing Rune Factory? I really want to finish Rune Factory: GoA, but I also want to figure out the lore of DK Bananza. Platformers are also my thing, but I haven't played one in a bit.
