To celebrate World Book Day, the Reading Ambassadors will be hosting a book swap across the school on Thursday.
Children are invited to bring in a book they no longer want and swap it for a different one. 📚

Today we came back from PE to find the classroom was a mess! We found chairs turned over, three bowls of porridge, three different sized chairs and bits of blonde hair all over the place. After analysing the evidence, we decided that it must have been Goldilocks!

Yesterday we discussed how to be safe online. I was very impressed with how much the children already knew. 😊They worked in pairs to sort out what was safe and what was unsafe when playing games online.

P2B are learning about time. We have been looking at analogue and digital clocks, learning how to read o’clock and half past the hour. Ask us what we know! ⏰

Spelling words for the next 2 weeks. These will be in homework folders tomorrow along with new reading books.

The Article 12 committee visited P2B yesterday and gave us the voting options for our St Patrick’s Day Celebrations. We discussed them, had a class vote and put our shamrock in the pot to cast our vote. ☘️

We were all so impressed by this amazing structure built by a super construction team! There were so many individual elements that the group brought together as they developed the metaskills of adapting, creating, focusing and collaborating 😊

We have been learning how to calculate change. It’s a bit tricky but I have been impressed with how well the children are grasping it. Keep practising at home too! 💰

Inspired by F’s model of the Carpathia, some of the boys decided to make their own ship during area time this week. 🚢

As part of our non-fiction Talk for Writing, P2B are creating a fact file about Falkirk. This week, we have been working in pairs to research and gather information and have learned some interesting facts about places we know.

We loved having our very own Starbook’s Cafe today where we chilled,chatted and read books together 📚☺️
We used our knowledge of money to purchase some items from the cafe ☕️ The children even made and used their own credit cards 💳 #ReadingSchoolsWeek

P2B enjoyed their school library visit to select new books to read in class 📚 #ReadingSchoolsWeek
