It happens so quickly and subtly it's almost a little scary. This constant fear of being observed and judged by all-seeing strangers needs to stop, because at this rate fascists won't even have to install thought policing laws, we're already enforcing them ourselves, subconsciously or not.

They go around telling others "btw this person has an ankle fetish :/" like it's some kind of crime, and then other people suddenly start worrying if their form of self expression could be considered a perversion of some kind, even when they don't agree with that surveillance mindset.

And how come drawing pretty twinks in gnc clothing is almost the norm that only few bat an eye at? That's kinda when it dawned on me - some people see a fetish in just about every other expression of self that doesn't fall within the accepted norms. And what do those people do?
