Still up for debate, the lowest bar is simply making sure there's RSS at the instance level, and letting instances listen to, and integrate, each other's feeds. ActivityPub would be nice, but is definitely not the first step.

I had not, I'll have to dig into that!

If they want to help tackle issues, they're more than welcome to! I'm hoping to have the last big feature -- file rewinding -- landed in the next few days, after that it becomes more of a "use it for a while myself and find out where the pain points are" while working on the smaller stuff.

GitHub - Pomax/make-webbly-things: Make webbly things, federate with other creators, reclaim the web. Make webbly things, federate with other creators, reclaim the web. - Pomax/make-webbly-things

With the explicit intention that this is something that anyone can deploy and have their friends sign up and start making cool stuff on the web. I'm wrapping up "rewind" functionality at the moment, after which the "only" thing left is going to be federation.

@humphd.bsky.social I don't know if I ever mentioned I quit Moz to work for Glitch, and I'm sure you've heard Glitch got shut down, but... I refuse to live in a world without Thimble/Glitch so I sat down and wrote my own take on it over on github.com/Pomax/make-w...

An Interactive Guide to SVG Paths β€’ Josh W. Comeau SVG gives us many different primitives to work with, but by far the most powerful is the <path> element. Unfortunately, it’s also the most inscrutable, with its compact Regex-style syntax. In this tut...

@joshwcomeau.com quick note on www.joshwcomeau.com/svg/interact..., the most unknown part of SVG is that "is point in shape?" is literally built in. Nowhere near enough folks know that developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/W... and friends exist, and any post on SVG should call it out =D

@refx.com please replace your captcha v2 with the invisible captcha v3. It's 2025, no one should see checkboxes.

Unfortunately, MarkText can't deal with properly long documents (I write long-form 50k+ word tutorials), and gets confused, skipping to the top of the document instead of start of the line, and undo/redo takes worryingly long. Bear/Joplin are even more geared for super-short documents =(

@deepdwn.com Is there a WYSIWYG mode? Nothing on the website suggests there isn't one, but I figured I'd ask (kinda need one for the writing I do, which is full of math, diagrams, and screenshots, and I hate that Typora is the only option I apparently have available to me)
