Of all the narrative changes. Guillermo Del Toro had made in his FRANKENSTEIN, the expansion of Elizabeth, in purpose and agency, is my favourite. Her tender and emotional rapport with Jacob Elordi’s Creature is the beating heart of the film. Ethereal and understated work from Mia Goth.

So. HELLRAISER: BLOODLINE
I have two complaints.
1) The lead (Merchant/LeMarchand) is a vacuum. And his wig in the modern day is WILD!
2) NOT horny enough. Making The Cenobites malicious slashers, and not hedonistic weirdos, diminished the series.
But it wasn’t all bad.
Angelique was a great add.

I generally hate remakes of films that worked the first time, but I have to admit that Breck Eisner's 2010 version of THE CRAZIES is pretty damn good.

So far, so good, far as kobolds go.

I wasn't planning to repost this BUT Libro is doing a mega sale on audiobooks and ALL THE HEARTS YOU EAT is included.

Which means a full cast recording (a first for any of my books) full of vampires, pocket universes, hyena monsters, and lots of bloody trauma for like $4.
