I miss the days when @mrjamesob would come back from a break with the words ‘a change of pace now’. After 8 hours on Mandelson last week (and no Mystery Hour) and 3 hours on Starmer, I need some light with the shade.

Starmer is well regarded globally but not in the UK. Wonder if it's anything to do with our press and social media?

After reviewing my social media choices I'm only on this platform and Instagram now. But I looked up alternatives for my dog's tracking device on Safari and now I can't go on Instagram anymore as there are more ads for one particular dog tracker than actual posts from accounts I follow

Dammit. I wanted a Labour/Green coalition at the election. I want Labour to be stronger on climate issues. I am tempted to go Green but then I see you guys saying Starmer is talking "drivel" when I am largely happy with his direction of travel and I stay put.

Is the mad behaviour of the US administration simply a distraction from the dementia? If they all behave the same as Trump it will somehow normalise his fluctuating mental state and no one will try to have him removed from office?

I live in a solid house – low and wide and hunkered into the ground. Even the internal walls are solid brick. But it's 1m above sea level all that separates it from that sea is about 5km of flat land. Storm Goretti is pretty scary.

I agree with @urbaneprofessor.bsky.social – I use my Instantpot for slow cooked dishes, rice, biryani, steaming veg, pressure cooking all sorts of things. Plus it makes a litre of superb Greek yoghurt for me every week.
