Absolutely, when detachments lose a certain percentage of units they 'break' and it's never good. Fuller detachments are harder to break since there are more units and those units are typically larger as well

I would recommend filling out detachments to raise the break point and don't be afraid to send infantry out of order range, advance is versatile enough to survive a turn or two c:
