I'm losing all sense of up & down. 'From the five-time Booker-shortlisted author' - why does that somehow look right? Surely it should be 'five-TIMES Booker-shortlisted author'?? But when I make it plural, I then feel the urge to make it 'the five times' Booker-shortlisted' (surely deranged). Help?

Requesting from libraries helps tell them what readers want, too, so helps them spend their budget more accurately. And, my librarians tell me, requests helps them advocate for a higher budget. Because 'look at all these books we didn't have that people wanted!'

Jack Smyth is such a genius!! He came up with the collage idea out of nowhere and it's so killer (and will be really fun to return to and keep fresh over the years)

this is SO nice to see, thank you!! Not that it's my place to thank - I'm really thanking on behalf of the predecessors who built such a brilliant list. But it's such a joy and a privilege to be adding to it - and seeing more readers come to our older books...
