For the last time this trip I passed the 'Anna Frank Huis'. Walked the streets inset with Stumbling Stones in remembrance of the Jewish population of #Amsterdam murdered in the #Holocaust
We globally said #NeverAgain but morbidly I wonder, what will the future memorial to #Palestinians look like?

Well done! All I have achieved today is constructing a Writing Plan for the still-unwritten chapters… but at least I know the size of the task ahead so I feel it’s all under control (ha!)

AND we must stop selling armaments to Israel!!!

Definition of ‘memoir’ is this: … any nonfiction narrative writing based on an author’s personal memories. The assertions made in the the work are thus understood to be factual

So I can’t claim my memoir ‘Stumbling Stones: the Holocaust, my family and me’ is all factually accurate; but it’s true to my memories, and to the accounts told me by others of yet others’ memories, as told in letters, newspapers or official records

Yes! …and no. Memory isn’t an exact replica of reality - it takes slivers, snapshots, that are imbued with emotion, and stitches them together after the fact into a coherent story. (Though fraud is a different issue)
