Jesus shows the true way to repentance for Gods enemies:

Not destruction but cruciform selfdestruction on the cross.

This alone is Gods power unto salvation ❤️‍🔥

Prayer is at its core identification and not achievement - get this right and prayer will be a new world 👀

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Jesus says in Matthew 7 to build on the rock, so our house will stand when the storm comes.

He himself fullfills these words when he builds a house made of two wooden poles on a rock called Golgatha. ✝️

The storm came and broke him in his house...

Now I shall never be broken if I build on him 🪨

Jesus chose weakness over power.
Jesus destroyed evil with goodness.
Jesus demonstrated the true design of this world:
- Faithfulness through suffering triumphs over empire 👀!

Enemy love must be the most difficult but yet the most necessary christian act of following Jesus we need this moment in time. 📢

Jesus gives his Great Commision (Matt 28) to a group of dicisples of both praising AND doubting individuals...

No matter the temperature of your faith you are invited to join in God's restorative renewing of the world 🌏🌈

The beauty of the Arts is an open door to the divine and an invitation to meet Love and Creation himself 🎨

When Jesus says we should love our enemies. And that we should love our neighbour as we love God...

How then can churches teach that it is good for Jesus followers to go to war and kill their enemies?

The church must be an upside down peace kingdom on earth.

We fight evil with goodness (Rom 12) ❤️

In Luke 15 Jesus shows us that the Father isn't concerned about judging why we lost our way...

He just wants to find us and to celebrate our reunion with all his friends! 🍾🎉

We really need to lean into to truths about Jesus in this moment:

1. He is the Prince of Peace 🕊

2. He has all authority in heaven and on earth and he is the King of kings 👑

In him alone we rest 🛏

God as we see him in Jesus calls us friends not servants...

What a radically dignifying relationship between the Maker and his workmanship 🤯

Romantic movie 'flings' point to Christ.

As crinch as it is we all love drama and happy endings.

Because we long for our dramatic lives to also have hope of a ride into the sunset with the people and the God we love...

The path of Jesus is a path of non violence. The end. 📝

Even in the grayness of february, Jesus is still the light of the world...🕯

In this season though we need more than just the light of the world...

We need He who is the Colour of the World:

"I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth."🌈

Prayer is activism against the consumer economy. 📺📊

In my prayer time I insist on not being anyones product, and I reclaim my value from the place where it matters the most! ✝️🥇

1. Science and faith
2. Gender

4. Worship liturgy

Prayer is not a wish list that begins with some words of praise and ends with gratitude. 🚫

Ever since the tower of Babel people has tried to use technological advances to build an empire and become 'gods' 🧱💻

When will we learn 🫣...

In Luke 24 the disciples doesn't recognize Jesus at first. 😶‍🌫️

They don't even see its him when he preaches a sermon about himself in all of the Scriptures. 📜📖

But when they break bread and wine together they SEE him as he is. The risen Lord. 🥖🍷👀

Makes you think doesn't it? 🤔

Today we must remember that the true leader of the world is enthroned by his Fathers right hand.🤚🪑

He is Lord of lords
He is King of kings 👑
He came not to be served but to serve the weak.
He does not reach out for power
He gives up all his power on the cross.

He is Jesus Christ - Our Lord 🔥
