Adelie penguin colony at Cape Crozier, a few penguins close to the camera, and you can see the colony stretching for more than a kilometer up the hill. A skua surveys the colony in the distance.
Here's the #penguinpicoftheday, #PPOTD, this time of Adélie penguins at Cape Crozier, located at the eastern end of Ross Island, southern Ross Sea. This place is so special, with hundreds of thousands of birds. You can see how far back the colony stretches, it feels like it goes on forever.
