Very excited to join, and help grow, this wonderful society journal! In particular, would love to encourage submissions from masters or mini PhD projects to publish as short reports. There are so many small, rigorous, studies that often remain unpublished. This work is valuable to the community!

A photo of a lectern that says university of eastern Finland and behind it is a slide that says electrophysiological techniques to measure and interpret human neuron function
A picture of very blue sky some water and trees. A very pretty sparse landscape
A picture of soraya by the water with very clear blud skies
Really privileged to be spending the week at the University of Eastern Finland, giving a talk as part of their course on electrophysiological techniques for human neuron function and also enjoying the wonderful location and weather.

Such an honor to conduct Andrew’s viva. Was a great discussion and wonderful to hear all about his hard work! A credit to @kunathlab.bsky.social! One of the nicest post- viva receptions I’ve seen (I want to start a campaign that every institution have a tannoy announcement for new doctors!)

Even accepting the premise that AI produces useful writing (which no one should), using AI in education is like using a forklift at the gym. The weights do not actually need to be moved from place to place. That is not the work. The work is what happens within you.
