Off to watch Tom play for Bootle after I've had a few pints. If it's postponed due to the weather, I'll go to Warrington for Rugby League (and beer).

Draught Wipers Times Tripel is impressive.

So good I've had a second bottle.

Back in city centre at Bernie's on 't Zand. They have been closed all week otherwise I would have visited previously. Circus Winter Ale is a great beer.

Second up was the BAB 403 beer. I have had this before, but this bottle was flat and insipid.

First beers today in Tafel en Toog. Started lowish gravity with draught Blonden Os.

Unfiltered Brugse Zot Bruin at the Halve Maan Brewery, Brugge.

I'm now in the Halve Maan Brewery. The unfiltered beers, which are only available here, are far superior to those on sale everywhere else.

A few house beers in De Garre, followed by a very good Gouden Carolus Ambrio.

A sublime draught St. Bernardus Abt 12 in 't Brugs Beertje last night.

Arrived in Brugge and headed straight to De Garre, of course.

I've popped into Le Lombard for one. A very generous pour of draught Chimay Brune. Strange to say, but I'm not sure if I've ever drunk this on draught.

Another old favourite is Witkap Pater Tripel. Nice updated glass and lbel.

Next up is the classic Poechenellekelder. A couple of amber beers accompanied by a massive Lasagne.
Franc Belge is one of many great beers from De Ranke.
V Cense from Brasserie de Jandrain-Jandrenouille is a beer that I've always liked. I've not seen it for a few years but it is still excellent.

There are new owners. Seems like the glass room is no more.

I've arrived in Brussels. Started in the classic La Fleur en Papier Doré. First beer is locally brewed Stouterik on draught.

Jarl is not uncommon in my area.

U.K. supermarkets sell potatoes in a range of jackets: Dinner, Blazer, Denim, Harrington, Puffer. Leather is not an option.

I've got a wooden crate with 2 75cl champagne corked bottles from 1947. A few from the 50s also.

I've got some a lot older than that.
