Newly striped two-way cycle lane on Vaughn. Dead-ends into street parking. Useless infrastructure as demonstrated by the guy on his bike in the car lane.

So, uh ... funny story from this afternoon's ride about a car on the MUP ... specifically a Ville de Gatineau car on a NCC MUP section; was nearly a whole let less funny since I was coming around a blind corner.

Same old garbage from people that have the power to actually make the streets safer!

Drivers will never stop being takers unless we make them pay what car infrastructure actually costs.

Drivers run red lights so often now that I assume at least 1-2 drivers will threaten my life at every intersection.

I’m very worried for the next phase of independence for my kids.

How can I trust that my kids will make it home safe & alive when drivers cannot be trusted with the very basics?

Another article blaming kids for being hit by drivers cause they aren't bright enough or carrying a glowstick/flashlight. Absolutely abhorrent, maybe drivers should wake the fuck up and not hit kids on Halloween night, what a concept! #halloween #thewaroncars

No parking should be free, because it isnt. Why should I pay for someone else’s parking via my taxes. If you own it you pay for storing it.

You know what doesn't work? Spending hundreds of millions of dollars to widen a short stretch of road.

A 2021 study from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics showed that 52% of all trips in the U.S. were less than three miles. 28% of trips were less than one mile. With slight tweaks, many of those trips could be done on bikes, e-bikes and other light electric vehicles, and walking.

Meanwhile there’s council candidates in Elmwood-East Kildonan who want to get rid of school zones. Vote Emma instead.

Are they even aware they're being assholes? Just ignorant and entitled!

I think it's sad the system expects people to walk their bikes.

There is no shortage of entitled parents parking on the sidewalk, endangering students at my kids' school.
