I was probably supposed to hate The Fifth Element too. But I first saw it when I was stuck alone in a hotel room all day (in 1998ish), and I found it totally fun. Context matters more than we probably give it credit.

I have a similar love-hate relationship with both Silvermans, Sarah and Saving.

There are parts that I really liked, particularly the world which necessitated the VR environment they mostly lived in. I remember wishing for more of that and way fewer transcripts of gameplay.

I love Jason Mantzoukas. His interview on the Where Everybody Knows Your Name (Ted Danson) podcast was great, learned some new stuff.
