3,000 kids in NYC waitlisted for child care vouchers despite funding boost Families who qualify based on income can get reduced child care or after-school services, but the program ballooned over its budget.

While this article focuses on NYC, there are currently 21 counties across NY that have waitlists. Children and families and the providers who educate and care for them deserve more stability than this.

Today is the 60th anniversary of Medicaid. About 25% of the child care workforce nationwide receives healthcare from Medicaid. ESCCC stands with Medicaid and all who benefit from it.
