I am in the wind. Being untethered means posting will be sporadic and largely nonsensical. I will try to make as much sense as I usually do, but with more randomness and unexpected observations. Too many hours on planes.

One of the best things about the alternative paint series is the freedom to not care about whether it "feels right" because it's always going to feel a bit wrong.

This has a bit of darkness and malevolence that looks like someone summoned a very dangerous butterfly.

In the end, I keep it around because I like blue and gold.

This particular piece is going through a bit of a rehab, as it was really unloved by the alpha reviews. I tried a much softer version, but I didn't like it as much.

This is the "tweener" that has some of the original texture and some of the paint-smoothing going on.

This is how my eyes look when I haven't had my coffee yet.

After taking a week off, I wasn't so sure I wanted to start with this paint series piece, but it kind of communicates how I feel right now. Lots of uneasiness.

One of the neat things about making art how I do is taking something calm (mandalas) and adding stress (chaos).

I did appeal. They wanted my email, phone number and a photo of my face (which I didn't love). They said my account was a danger to young people.

That's crazy. They told me they deleted it. I'll look to see if I can reinstate.

Instagram deleted it.
