Four years ago our community was attacked by a right wing fascist, my friends and I were hurt, and two of those friends died. The targeted mass shooting at Normandale Park and the aftermath of smear campaigns by politicians, police, and local residents will haunt us always.

Much of my youth revolved around the website ZineLibrary. It went down around Occupy in a massive loss for a movement whose ideas and knowledge mostly doesn't circulate online but in person.
Anyway I've put it back online with a *thousand* anarchist zines:

I’ve already assembled like 600. I have so many lanyards still. I’m out of whistles. I require more whistles. Bring me your whistles. I have time for this

If you are 3D printing whistles and need them assembled onto lanyards, hit me up. Gimme your whistles. I will give them back to you centered on uniform ropes that won’t fray, or pass them along for distro

It’s clear there have been too few insufferable, privileged, boot-licking, dorks under 20 getting shoved into lockers and publicly humiliated before they can upwardly fail towards power and gain a platform to pull this weirdo shit
Bring back ruthless bullying for the betterment of humankind
This was the kind of treatment the union activists got today from Oregon’s largest unions alongside coalitions like @jwjpdx.bsky.social. They fired projectiles and injured many demonstrators and broke out neighbors windows. Gas for a half dozen miles in each direction. #iceout

THREAD of nuisance streamers currently harassing anti-ICE activists in Portland, OR. This will be an ongoing project. Do not interact with these grifters. Many of them will provoke violence for views.

Does anyone know a means of reaching out to Renee Nicole Good’s wife? A week after the Normandale shooting I was found by an old woman who survived a hate crime going back decades. She said some very important things to me that nobody else ever did. Renee’s wife should have the chance to hear it too

Surviving the blindsiding, graphic violence. Experiencing law enforcement interfering with medical help on scene. Being smeared and terrorized by politicians and the media in the wake of a horrific murder despite video evidence proving it was unprovoked.
☑️ ☑️☑️
The murder of Renee Nicole Good has brought up a lot of Normandale trauma, which is not surprising because there are too many similarities for it not to. Just thinking about what her wife is going through right now has absolutely wrecked me these last few days. I wish I could talk to her

Yeah EotD really caught me off guard. I put it off for way too long.
Barely related— are you reading Joe Hill? King Sorrow was goooooood.
In the video in the post, you can see that the officer can clearly get out of the way of the vehicle, at first doesn't, pulls his firearm and continues to shoot as the driver has already driven past him. bsky.app/profile/bnon...

I’ve gained far more by rereading old titles AFTER I finished the series. Like, oh that’s some cool bonus exposition on a topic. Never “I wish I’d known this before.”
07.01.2026 20:51 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Oh yeah, that’s a fun thing to do. And can be done any time! I will die on the hill that NOTHING of value is lost by simply reading the series straight through. I know this because it’s how I read the series. I’m so glad I didn’t detour at any point 20 years ago. I read them all at once.

Ha, I’ll take it.
Something that makes King’s books deeply enjoyable is that in the end, evil rarely triumphs. It’s why so many stories are in the same universe I guess. You know justice is coming by the end of the book so you can safely enjoy the chaos and suspense
I think it’s easy to mix things up by taking a massive detour on your first run. Maybe your memory is incredible but there’s no way I’d keep track of what actually happened in DT vs random sentences I read in other books tangential to the series after what’s probably going to be years of wandering
07.01.2026 20:32 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Tbc I think you should read them all and I’m excited you’re reading them all. I’m sad you’re stopping mid-series to do it bc I’m not convinced you’ll be happy about it in 5 years when you have to start the DT series all over again bc you lost the first 4 books in the shuffle of unrelated content 😭

This series is one that people always say they wish they could read again for the first time. It is such a incredible journey. Detouring from it midway for a 23 book interlude makes me kinda sad, knowing what can be lost forever on a first read through :(
I will respect the journey tho
