I had a black-headed jumping spider friend hang out with me for a little while I dismantled the corner of the garden bed he'd clearly been living in. Normally these things scuttle away quickly, but this guy sat and pondered things long enough for a decent photo and app identification to take place.

There are many many people here in Aotearoa/NZ who are against our current government's regressive policies. There was a MASSIVE protest hikoi (march) a few months ago against a move to change the way Te Tiriti o Waitangi is interpreted in the courts. This government is really unpopular right now.

I definitely watched Jem and the Misfits. I have distinct memories of playing 'Jem' with my best friend at primary school, mostly consisting of 'making make-up' i.e. rubbing pieces of bark from the playground together to make a groove.

I wear a mask on the bus. I'm usually the only one. So far I think the mask has kept me safe. The times I got it, it was from my husband and then I think from someone at work.
