He's not up for reelection until 2028.

Stock trading. There's many ways to combat the corruption.

I wrote a paper on this for government in college. We have to get rid of Citizens United. Until then, term limits of 12 years would reduce the amount of corruption substantially. We also need to ban politicians from still trading in office. They must divest or put it in a trust while in office.

Then he should be a motivational speaker and not a Congressman. I'm only a registered Democrat because of the primary voting rules in FL. I consider myself a pragmatic progressive. I want the progressive policies but I'm very realistic about how we get there. Bernie isn't he guy to do that IMO.

That's precisely why I celebrated when Pelosi announced her retirement. Tht bitch sabotaged AOC's bid for ranking member in favor of a 74-year-old man with throat cancer who has already left office. Whuch she dis from a hospital bed b/c she broke her hip. She's the 6th oldest member of Congress.

Republicans will never honor that promise and she's an idiot if she thinks they will. We see her and we know she's retiring. And we will never forgive her or the other 7. Never trust a Republican on anything ever.

The gerentocracy in Congress is our biggest problem. We need term limits and an age maximum.

Bernie should run as an Independent. He's never even tried. And after 35 years I'd expect more from someone who wants to be President. I dont dislike his ideas. They are good. But he's not effective at actually get anything implemented. I'm also no longer interested in voting for candidates over 55.

Dr. Oz is a joke but he's also a eugenicist in charge of aspects of public health. It makes him a dangerous idiot and Jeffries is stupid to not acknowledge that.

I also hate what his supporters do every time he doesn't get the nomination. They whine and pout then don't vote or vote third party an keep screwing us. Ideology is useless if it ignores reality.

Bernie has been in Congress for 35 years and has gotten 3 bills passed. Two of which were just to rename Vermont post offices. Please tell me how that's effective. I dont hate Bernie. I find his constant bids for the Dem nomination for President while he's an Independent very disingenuous.

AI data centers can use between half a million and 5 million gallons of water a day just to cool the servers. They also use the dirtiest methods to power these AI data centers. The negative environmental impact of AI use alone is enough to never use it.

Never trust a Republican on anything ever. They should have learned this by now.

He's right. He's also still ineffective at getting legislation passed.

'A Slap in the Face': Federal Employees Feel Betrayed by Democrats' Shutdown Cave "I would rather be an actual pawn. At least pawn sacrifices are calculated and achieve something."

This is how the federal employees feel about what he just did. They aren't happy.

He won't let them vote because he doesnt like the fake deal they just made with Dems. He will do whatever he can to prevent swearing in Grijalva. He's also still determined not to let a vote happen on the Epstein files.

10.11.2025 15:13 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He's retiring and doesn't give a shit.

I dont disagree with that. We've been right and no one wants to listen to us. But I'm also not giving any Senate Dems a pass for letting this happen. They all own this.

The courts already ordered TFG to reinstate the workers and end firings. And TFG is still ignoring them. TFG doesn't care what the Republicans promised Dems because he knows they won't follow through. It helps no one. Its a bullshit excuse for screwing us. Never trust a Republican ever. Period.

Im a citizen so I give a shit about what's happening in Congress because it affects all of us. And I am absolutely allowed to have an opinion on this even if my Senators are Republicans I never voted for. All the Senate Dems own this.

Johnson already said he won't allow a vote on the CR.

A tradition honored by every president until FDR. You are the one who knows nothing about the Founders. I got an A in American National Government in college. I wrote papers on this.

The Founders were heavily influenced by Roman and Greek ideals of republicanism, particularly the story of Cincinnatus, a Roman who accepted dictatorial power in an emergency and then immediately returned to his farm. George Washington was the first to honor this by stepping down after 2 terms.

The Founders envisioned "citizen legislators" who would serve for a time and then return to their private lives and professions. Being a politician didnt pay well and required extensive travel which was difficult.

Because I'm a registered Democrat. And what all Senate Dems do affects me.
