Big fan of when artists draw the Uchiha war robe tight af on Obito cause, realistically, that thing is not gonna be loose on him. Not with how huge he is😭

It's not too important but another detail that I think I'm not hallucinating is Team Minato actually being younger than 12 in that panel. Only their older selves had designs done so it's not hard to imagine Kishimoto scribbled something since he didn't have any kid designs yet

My scribbles were quite unflattering, so here's a proper attempt to see if Obito would look dashing with this hairstyle

I always found it funny how this panel sort of implies that Obito's haircut originally had his hair slicked back. I feel like he did this once and immediately got made fun of by his team as they went "No💔"

The goggles are so heavily associated with young Obito and that ideal version of him that it's no wonder Kakashi couldn't part with them. He looks a bit goofy in them but it would make sense Kakashi would gift them back once Obito accepts his true self again. He's the same man the goggles represent

One fun thing is that we do technically see a return of the goggles. It's not exactly canon, but this official art features adult Obito wearing the goggles. The goggles would be in Kakashi’s possession, so he gave them back to him. It's really cute

It's likely he did this when the grief was at its highest after his death, but since Kakashi is a private person, he then kept them at home to mourn with and visits the grave empty-handed now to avoid questions

Kakashi is the only person we ever see (or are told) visit Obito's grave, so it has to be him. No one else would be able to have Obito's goggles but him, after all. Since this is right after Obito passes, it's likely Kakashi took these with him to mourn to have a source of comfort

Kakashi Gaiden heavily implies that Kakashi has Obito's goggles. Obito doesn't have them in the cave encounter, so this means he probably took them off after he got his sharingan and patched Kakashi up. Kakashi then went back and retrieved them when they had to blow up the bridge

Only there it is not a symmetrical spilt. Kakashi is trying to keep his resolve while Obito cannot believe Kakashi's statements, he can't understand that perspective as he views it as wrong. Later on their views will align and so will their faces as they understand each other

If you think about it this scene was technically the first time Kakashi and Obito were presented as two halves. And why? Because Kakashi begins to doubt his beliefs when Obito questions him. He's beginning to see Obito's viewpoint
