Chemical concerns: Former Air Corps staff allege toxic exposure Former Air Corps personnel say they were exposed to hazardous chemicals without protection, and feel the State has not properly responded to their concerns

Nine years since this first came to public attention, it was a scandal then and even more so now after nearly a decade of inaction.

"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adultsβ€”Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebeβ€”living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.

Can refs not just award frees or penalties when they see this attritional nonsense at corners? It's a blight on the game at the moment.

You'd nearly start to take it for granted, but between LOITV and the Virgin Media showing a match every week, supporters really are spoiled for choice for TV coverage now. Would still like a highlights programme, but it has come on leaps and bounds. #GreatestLeagueInTheWorld

New season; same venue for away day screenings.

Once again our friends at Coughlan's will be showing City's away matches this season, starting with the trip to Wexford this Friday.

All welcome #CCFC84

An incredible moment for UCC Applied Economics student Edwin Edogbo who made his Ireland debut in the Six Nations clash with Italy. Edwin, a Quercus Sports Scholar, is pictured here with family members and Michele Power, Manager of the @quercusucc.bsky.social Talented Students' Programme.

Women examining a living seawall in Cobh

Ireland is an ocean nation. Our past, present and future are tied to the sea. But as the ocean changes - warming, acidifying, and facing growing pressures from industry and pollution - so too must our understanding of it.

I'm getting at least one if not more push notifications daily for rugby stories on the @irishtimes.com app, despite only having the 'Top Stories' filter on. Lineup announcements, live blogs, previews, match reports, analysis pieces - all 'top stories' worthy of a push notification, apparently.

I can get the Gonzo/Grover thing, and the chef is very briefly in it, but he has a whole thing about Fozzie not being in it because Frank Oz left etc etc and..he's there? In the pic, in the show, with lines. It's odd.

06.02.2026 10:06 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Having watched this earlier, this review is slightly amiss. Aside from calling Gonzo "Grover", it says there's no Swedish Chef or Fozzie Bear but both are in it (and the latter is in the picture accompanying the article!).

This is cycling in Copenhagen.

No hi-vis. No helmet mandates.
People cycle because it’s safe β€” by design.

This is what cycling should look like.

Ireland is moving in the opposite direction. Instead of designing safe places to cycle, we're blaming the people cycling...

So people should now carry helmets and hi-viz around with them in case they decide to take a public ebike somewhere?

Lexus parking on hatched lines for a photoshoot within a stone's throw of City Hall says a lot about enforcement in the city centre really, doesn't it? Good job that cycle lane is properly segregated.
