Bottom line: a lot of these plans are very vague with not a lot of time to get some structure going. Evo's big, but big enough to suddenly shove tendrils in half the globe and produce big events? Not likely.

If running 3 was difficult, how is *tripling* that going to work out?

I seem to remember at one time there was a vague "Evo: LA" announced and subsequently revealed to be a brokedick awards show meant to farm clips of more famous people sucking air at a black-tie event. (Despite the brokedick-ness of it, vote @rooflemongerreal.bsky.social the lad deserves it)

This also begs the question: *is* there some sort of infrastructure or planning already done to achieve this? I know they said 2027 but if the event is to any degree of scale, that's not a long time to get everything underway, there's a lot to do to get there.

What can we ultimately expect?

This is true too, the brain drain alone would probably be pretty staggering. I'm not naive enough to assume that these places just plain don't *have* local events, they are just probably smaller scale and with nowhere near the infrastructure to live stream it

I wonder the same about a Tekken World Tour, or frankly any game that would be part of the EWC and have its own, publisher-ran circuit. The publishers can't really match what they offer, especially if it's a foolish and misguided amounts of money. How does theirs stand out in that kind of market?

A FGC professional class would almost certainly be incentivized to prioritize the most lucrative path, which would almost assuredly be the EWC. Further, if sponsors want to make the KSA bonus, they pretty much have to prioritize EWC, and they do with random, temporary signings.

What's CC to do?

If a EWC circuit is now juiced by 9 (potential - important to say potential) Evo events, how does Capcom Cup stand out? It already doesn't offer the same prize money, and it certainly doesn't want to operate in the same month(s) as the EWC.

Do EWC and CC just...coexist? How?
