I’d say it’s good for Scottish charity trustees to be treated in the same way as those in England and Wales whose names have been published for years. Plus if a Scottish charity is a Ltd company you can find names on Co House anyway…

Which takes you to an interesting question of how much time you’d expect a charity trustee to be giving…because the vast, vast majority are doing so for free. We tell people thinking of joining our board it’ll require between half a day and a day of their time on average a month.

They’re also charity trustees since ACE confusingly is that too - so they’d need all that special permission to pay from CC etc etc

This. While brief periods (weeks) of closing to applications is necessary when new systems/priorities are being introduced it’s the worst kind of philanthropy elitism when big funders take months (or more!) out for for introspection. Would that our grant recipients had the resources to do the same!
