The only thing I can say is that at-least RE9 has solid game-play and is able to split the game 50/50 when it comes to action / horror.

But there are segments ripped straight out of 4/5/6, that just feel weird and bad. I half expected a cabin siege!

Last thing: There's this weird revisionism about RE6, and a lot of newer fans are trying to praise it for being good. RE6 almost killed the franchise.

I saw someone say 'People will praise re9 for what they'd criticize re6 for' Which now looking at it.... Yeah its already happening.

Last thing I will say is, even the people who are critiquing the story. Are using the excuse that the gameplay is fun.

Sure its fun, but like. It doesn't cover up everything this game did wrong.

I'm seeing a lot of people praise the game for being fun, which it is! But there's issues with the game that people are refusing to talk about. Even when you try and bring them up a lot of people go "Well its cool so its fine!"

I'm deeply frustrated bleh!

I think I know how original fans of Resident Evil, who ended up heavily disliking RE4 back when it first came out. I think I know how they feel now.

Everything with the second half of the game is really frustrating, I won't say much more on it due to spoilers.... But....

That's what I've been saying for years !!! Also a lot of mascot horror doesn't even fully make sense, it just feels like forced. A lot of these stories would be interesting if you just removed the mascot.....
