Sunderfolk and defining what it means to log a “play” of a “board game” | Matthew Gray's Game Blog
I played Sunderfolk and enjoyed it. It's a Gloomhaven-lite couch coop video game, which inspired me to write up some of the how I think about the semantics of "I played a board game" for record keeping purposes, as well as a few more thoughts on Sunderfolk itself.

Every Year Game Streaks | Matthew Gray's Game Blog
I've played 6 nimmt! for 25 consecutive years, and posted my accounting of lots of other long multi-year game streaks, including a few that aren't the usual suspects for such a list.

In 2024, I've played at least 1 game that I acquired in each year from 2000 - 2024. Several years only had a single title played: 2016 (Innovation), 2015 (Codenames), 2009 (Viva Topo!), 2008 (Dominion), 2006 (Darter), 2005 (Travel Blokus). This may be a new annual #boardgames checklist.

Closeup of miniatures and board in Stationfall
I played a bunch of new-to-me #boardgames at a con. Total of 30 plays of 20 different titles (15 new to me).
Best games: The Gang (co-op Texas HoldEm) and Bomb Busters (co-op deduction, a la Coda).
Next best: Stationfall (pictured), but Fishing, Creature Caravan and Mesos were all good.
