Craig Counsell's son, Brady, made the trip with the D-backs to Sloan Park to face the Cubs today. If he plays, it will be his professional debut for Arizona, which picked him in the 10th round of last year's draft.
βIβll close my eyes and watch the video later," quipped the Cubs manager.

βTo fly across the world, not knowing if I could swing a bat and then have to rehab with them, versus being here, it just didnβt make sense. Especially getting ready for a season, itβs kind of more important to be fully healthy.β

Weird sequence in Scottsdale.
Not long after false alarm in ballpark -- instructing fans to evacuate -- Giants pulled off weird triple play. Suzuki singled to RF, thrown out at 2B. Bregman caught between 2B/3B, tagged out at 3B, where Shaw was on bag. Shaw walked off the base... also tagged out.
Cubs manager Craig Counsell said MoisΓ©s Ballesteros is in the States after dealing with visa issues in Venezeula. He's had travel delays getting to AZ, but is en route.
Counsell said it would likely be a week or so before Ballesteros is in a game. But not expecting this to impact OD roster chances.
