While I don’t want to make light of this tragedy for the families of those hurt or killed by Tesla- it is a ominous entry into 2025 and The Elonia Musk regime and shadow presidency that is seeking to deregulate Tesla and consumer protections.

President Carter had been a guiding figure and role model for my political life as an adult. Do the hard things that needed to be done to lift people up and help people- even when no one is looking. #GoodnightMrPresident #Godspeed

He was the earliest political figure that I remember in my lifetime. As a 7 or 8 year old- I remember telling my (Republican) dad that I liked Jimmy Carter. Incredulously he asked, ”why?” I remember my innocent answer- that I liked that he was always smiling. I liked his smile.

Most importantly, most of his work to help others was done outside of public office and most-often away from press and cameras. He dedicated his life to others without credit or ego. He did the hard things that needed to be done.

A life well lived. President Carter gave all of himself to make a world better for those to follow him. He was not the most popular… often ridiculed. But, he served as a shining example of what every American should aspire to: grace, humility, hard work, and compassion for others.

Define, “control”. The presidency? That is one leg of a three-legged stool. It, alone, controls nothing. Sure there were a 2 yrs of House and Senate control under Obama- that he used for the ACA… and 2 yrs under Biden, that he used for the post-COVID Rescue Plan & Infrastructure Plan.

This pit of despair has no bottom.

I call bullshit! This is a narcissist’s attempt to draw attention to him (and away from President-elect Elonia). Bezos could start his “philanthropy” by acknowledging his workers, allowing them to organize without his union-busting tactics, and giving his workers a fair contract. Start there, first.

Trump campaign won’t pay $49,000 in bills for Grand Rapids rallies The city of Grand Rapids says the Donald J. Trump for President 2024 campaign has refused to pay more than $49,000 in bills for two rallies in the city this year.

I am sure that this will surprise exactly no one. Grand Rapids, MI is a midsized Midwest city, not a huge city that can absorb these costs to subsidize a political campaign. I pay my tax dollars for the city services that my community needs. Not for a scab that doesn’t believe in paying his bills.

The annual median income in 1970 was $15,060. Adjusted for inflation, the AMI should be at $122,457.
The current AMI is $59,229; the average worker has lost $63,328 per year- more than they earn. #RespectWorkers #TheSystemIsRigged

Yet so many of them are union-busters who fight tooth and nail to prevent us from collective bargaining in our own employment. #RiggedSystem
