While child poverty has reduced in Scotland, even one young person growing up in poverty is one too many.

Today I announced £5.8m for organisations supporting families across Scotland – joined-up help, delivered locally, to improve life chances for children.

Scotland has the lowest child poverty rate in the UK, and 90,000 fewer children live in poverty thanks to our policies.

But decisions at Westminster have too often held us back.

I want to fully eradicate child poverty, and Scotland should have the full powers to do it.

If you can afford a second home, you can afford to pay more council tax. Hopefully this taxation helps to make more housing available to local residents and/or more money for local authorities to spend on services.

NHS Scotland really does provide an excellent service. My son who lives in London came to visit Scotland having forgotten his Epipen (necessary because he has a nut allergy). He was able to call 111 and obtain a prescription from the pharmacy, with no charge. #thankyouSNHS

Two months until Scotland decides.

Stay stuck in broken Brexit Britain, or choose the fresh start of independence.
