I can raise math, English and science scores in a district more by offering free breakfast and lunch, than by banning cell phones.

-came from and being able to see that the real person behind the events is so much happier and healthier now. It's possible. You can heal from that scared little girl and be the kind of person she'd be proud of. Even if the hurt never fully goes away, it doesn't have to be who you are.

Even the characters who behave antagonistically are, if not good people, familiar and understandable. Other than the creepy coach, fuck that guy. There are complicated and nuanced characters and relationships and I'm loving the mystery aspect. But my favorite part is just. Knowing where the story+

I'll never stop thanking @amayahearthmama.bsky.social for creating such a down to earth and relatable story. It's the first time I've ever felt like an artist or writer really understood what it felt like to be a "wise beyond your years" (read: traumatized) child growing up in the aughts.

I'm so happy that my favorite web comic updated!!! I love this story because I understand how the main character feels and this is the first media that ever made me feel seen. It didn't mirror my life perfectly, but it does enough to make me want it to all work out.

All I want is to be kind. Words are what I'm good at, and they may be cheap, but I want them to matter

It's so messed up but I think it's an unnerving look at how complacency can be just as evil as commiting the crime itself and how unchecked power abuse damns everything it touches.

One of the things my therapist said to me while I was coming to terms with my autism and thought the symptoms were mostly the same as for my cPTSD was:

"Well, the world hasn't produced an untraumatized autistics person since psychology was founded."

I think about that a lot.

I just want to love people and make them feel loved and safe. I'm super high rn and I want to build a nest and put the world in it and protect it

All I want is to make people feel safe. I'm not a healer or a fixer or a manic pixie dream girl; I'm honestly a huge loser, but I'm good at being patient and not judging them for things they haven't consciously and with all of the information they had, chosen to do the wrong thing.

I hope you have a safe rest and recovery period and can spend as much time with your kids as you can while trying to recover. And oh my goodness he's precious!!

So when Stephen Miller is accusing Gavin Newson of trying to get him killed by calling him a fascist, does that mean he’s confessing to trying to have Joe Biden killed when he called Biden a fascist countless times? He seems to be telling on himself.

That had to be terrifying. Everyone is so glad you're alright, and here's hoping you can go home soon. You ARE the best mom you can be for them; this wasn't anything you could control. The fact that you're thinking about them so soon after surgery speaks volumes of your love for them.
