I’m distressed by proposals to sell of public lands to industry. All efforts to save forests, grasslands, waterways, greenways, and marine preserves are so critical to our planet’s flora & fauna. It’s important to keep this conversation alive amid all the political and industrial chaos.

This one-of-a-kind mixed media piece brings dancers to life, floating in 3D above the canvas.

Each dancer is handmade with cotton fabrics and heavy inerfacing then lifted into the air with tiny wooden pegs.

The background is a blend of organic cotton, a stunning silk textile, and acrylic-painted canvas. It’s all tied together in a beautiful wood frame with a metallic, mottled finish.

This mixed media piece is all about celebrating the end of the pandemicβ€”because we were cooped up long enough! Time to get out and dance!

The artwork features beautiful Australian Aboriginal Fair Trade cotton fabrics and cork dancers, popped up in 3D with wooden pegs for a playful, lively scene.

It’s gallery-wrapped on stretched canvas and wired up, ready to hang.

September, 2015 there was a total lunar eclipse, also known as a Blood Moon, that coincided with the Harvest Moon, which is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. This event was special as it was also a Supermoon, meaning the Moon was at its closest point to Earth.

This mixed media artwork emerged from thinking about the movement of the sun, moon, and planets, and their seasonal paths and changes.

This mixed media piece is all about Texturalismβ€”calming subtle patterns with a tactile mix of materials and textures. The gentle spiral design subtly pulls you in, tracing the golden ratio.
It’s made with cotton fabrics, tan and white woven grass papers, tinted corks, and wood veneers in maple, red oak, and walnut.

This mixed media fabric-based piece is Texturalism in action. It uses lines and planes to suggest shapes that shift and flow with the textured elements, creating a time-lapse vibe of a solar eclipse.

This is the second piece in my abstract portrait series. It imagines a secret being shared between friends. I used one continuous piece of dyed cork to connect their heads, like they’re in on something together. Did you raise your eyebrows?
