When I played Hollow Knight at launch, it showed me a side of gaming that I didn't know I enjoyed: exploring and discovering a massive unknown world. While I doubt that Silksong can again be such a defining game for me, I am still very excited to play it!

I'm always scared of mixing sub-bass and bass. Probably because I used to always make them wayy too loud?

It's exactly like you said, I think. The tritone doesn't sound good with a lot of distortion imo. But you could try: omiting the 5th/playing less strings, playing a higher voicing, or only playing the triad and then also playing the full chord or missing notes on a synth. Just some thoughts.

I really want to add more to the song or make variations, but I can't think of anything. I should just finish it at this point. I do feel more prepared for the mixing now, though.
I wish I had more composer friends that I could learn from.
