I am grateful to the people I've been able to have misunderstandings with and resolve conflicts together after the fact. They are the majority. Conflict resolution is a skill, not everyone has it, and getting close to someone who doesn't can cause a lifetime of hurt.

Sometimes the sting of unresolved drama still hurts to this day. Spaces I can't feel safe in, people I'm afraid to be close to, opportunities I have to pass on, all from a few instances of bad blood from half a decade ago.

I wish I was strong enough to not care about their opinions, sometimes.
