The AI affirms that I am correct and that my "critical thinking is spot-on." It repeated the made up names and even provided made up first names. I'll spare you the full slop response.

The UChicago campus AI platform includes a number of sample prompts. Out of curiosity, I decided to take the bait and click on "Quiz me on ancient civilization." It started off as a multiple choice grade-school test about the pyramids, etc.

It is helpful to remember that AI/LLMs do not think and many do not remember what they previously responded. (Yes, yes, I know you can train them to build on training...). As educators are increasingly being asked (some required) to use AI in the classroom, consider the following. 🧵
