PS: I'm not just Black and non binary and Queer. I'm an environmentalist, a worker, a photographer, a video creator, a wrestling fan, a video gamer, somewhat of a cook, and more. I hope we can get to a point where I can display more of my interests and hobbies. 3/3

At the end of the day, I'm genuinely proud of being Black and non binary. I just prefer to be cautious when speaking about my identity. 5/5

When I'm serving guests at work, I don't mention my pronouns as I know it can have an impact on my earnings for a day. It also doesn't help that I have to go through so many hoops for my name and gender can be respected legally. 4/5

With that being said, I don't mention being non binary unless I feel safe to do so. I've tried coming out or explaining my gender, and I get met confused looks, more questions, and even harassment. 3/5

(especially with people who didn't see themselves as exclusively men or women) were erased or altered. Not to mention the fact that once I realized I was non binary, and made changes to reflect my gender, my mental health and my outlook on life improved. 2/5

Also for context, the restaurant I work at changed how they give card tips. Instead of receiving it the same day, I now have to wait until the end of the following pay period. (For example, I received the card tips from the 18th, 20th, 21st, and 23rd of June today)

I mentioned the generation the women belonged to give context on their presumptive political leaning

Me: Because this corporate restaurant would be required to give me an actual wage

Sometimes I don't sugar coat info and try to be gentle. And other times, I tell them what could be if Indiana had policies from other states. That's just how I am at times. 5/5🧵

Think about all of the expensive surgical interventions: chest, facial structure, hair removal, and vocal chords. All of these gender affirming surgeries can be prevented with puberty blockers.

So again, denying care to trans youth gives more money to big pharma in the long run

Inform yourself and others.

If you're from a community that's being targeted by conservative, be unapologetically yourself.

Make sure to put in work between protests and rallies. That's how movements are successful 3/3

Divert what money you can to businesses, especially local ones, that haven't changed support to the LGBT+ community, Black community, women, etc.

Show support for campaigns with authentic candidates that provide a clear vision for an alternative to what we're facing right now. 2/3

Some actions you can take:

Volunteer time to organizations that support causes you care about

Don't give money to corporations that support Trump and rollback inclusive actions (to the best of your ability) 1/3
