In terms of other decks: Transmigration to 1, the other tachyon trap that makes stuff unaffected to 1. Getting the seventh one for free, then making C107 unaffected, then transmigrationing the response to THAT is a really awful play pattern.

I don't expect they want this deck staying tier 1 for this long for a second time, so it's likely going to get hit somehow.

I expect Masq to 1 just so people stop playing it with dragoon. Masq+Mirrorjade to 2 is also reasonable, though the deck can play without the second Mirrorjade.

I expect something gets hit to limit 3. Tragedy or Opening are the obvious picks. Hitting both would spike the deck into the grave.

Thoughts: Masquerade is really fucking dumb. There are several duels where it would be a really nice engine vs engine fight, but because masquerade+opening is there, if you don't have lava golem, sphere mode, droplet, or book of eclipse, they only get 6 effects.

I think it's genuinely great that when you look at rs, you can see the work of so many different hands over a quarter century. It adds to the charm. Nothing is as convincing of the history of a place than the presence of its Esoteric Bullshit, and boy does runey have that in spades.

I will say it is really funny when people post sketches of the kind on the right that also show reference material for the left, really emphasizing how different it is.

Honestly that's in line with another thing that's been bugging me lately - how turn 0 effects like this keep getting balanced. We're seeing way more 3 card combo Hollie Sues that win the game and way less of low impact but more consistent ones. It just adds too much variance imo

You ask them to solve a duel puzzle in their head without clicking the buttons in the meantime and they cannot do it.

Incidentally, I find that doing this sort of task is one of the better ways to initially build up that skill.

I see it all the time with more casual/newer players, but many people who play this game do not possess much, if any, board vision. When thinking about what play to make, it's often vibes-based and not "if I make this play/line, the board state will be this, which is better than the alternative."
