The Belfast Giants announced 3 2-ways today. I hope they are going to use them but sadly history tells us otherwise. A wasted opportunity.

An interesting signing for Belfast Giants (Garrett McFadden) stats last year not great, but on a poor team. Sneaky suspicion he might be one to look out for.

The signing of Svendsen by Fife Flyers makes it look like this season at least they are going for the bums on seats plan. A good plan indeed for Fifers who have been starved over the last number of years, but not sure how he will cope with not only EIHL refs but more importantly Scottish refs

Hockey Rumours on the Hellsite have linked Patrick Grasso and Nathanael Halbert to the Giants both would be good signings as the CHL is going to ensure that we need a strong/deep bench

Havent posted much over the off season but we are getting close. Belfast Giants are building what is so far a solid team but lacking a bit of wow factor as yet. Surprise package for me has been Fife who may well be more competive than for many a year.

Brilliant news out of Fife today. Hopefully it will be a new era for the fans and the team. Are the new owners related to Cardiff? If so it will be interesting to see how it plays out like Panthers and Glasgow

The appointment of Max Birbraer as a Director of Fife Flyers 2025 Ltd adds more fuel to the rumours of a Cardiff linked takeover. Not sure how the Cardiff faithful with feel if it is their own consortium...we are back into the Panthers v Clan situation again.

So the podcast tonight revealed that Owen Nolan is finally coming home to Belfast (One night only).

And the current Belfast Giants rumours are JJ, Conway Goodwin and Bast to stay. Long to go to NIHL, Pound to go and Sam jones to arrive from Flames and Whistle to be joined by Brandon...lets see what emerges in the end.

Certainly one of the most consistent players for the Devils last season. Seems like a no brainer and worth getting the signature even if no manager has been appointed yet

The Belfast Giants season has come to an end with a loss in the Playoff finals. BUT Two trophies in the cabinet there isnt too much to complain about. Now 4 months of rumours and news as a new team emerge and the fanbase gets excited once again for the Elite League and CHL

Still 0-0 in clan land. Once again I think Clan edged the period and I think it is whoever makes the first mistake is going to take this one. All to play for in the third period

0-0 Clan v Giants in a pretty good 1st period. Think Clan may have edged it but could still go any way in the 2nd

4-0 after 2nd amazing start to period left Devils shell shocked and even Power Plays couldn’t help them. Still a long way to go for us Belfast fans

2-0 Giants after the 1st. Cardiff still well in the game though and Giants will need to sharpen a bit at the back in the 2nd

The first chance for silverware tonight Giants v Devils in challenge cup. Devils have been good and bad and Giants have been consistently average of late…could go either way

Happy with the win not happy with the performance. PP abysmal, and for 98% of the game despite the a lot of the possession we looke devoid of any clear plan as to how to put the puck in the net. I am seriously worried about Wednesday night as Cardiff will be a much tougher ask than the Flames

1-1 - I can see this game going the way of the last number of games...Giants with large amounts of possession but PP is woeful and despite possession they never look like they are going to score.

0-1 End of First - A bit of a scrappy period but the Giants definitely had the run of the game until about the last 5 minutes when Flames got into it for the first time. The Giants PP however is so predictable that it will take a basic PK mistake for them to take advantage of it. Still lots to do.
