Second, people who use DoorDash pay an average of $63 for a meal from McDonald's. Sort of an odd place to look to gauge sensitivity to the cost of food.
I suspect the practice might've arisen from cooling the feet slightly in hopes of cooling the body as a whole...and, voila!, the fever broke! Or the afflicted eventually died from lack of sleep, with all the damp goo in their socks. But THAT would've happened anyway...folk alternatives to science!
