It will be interesting to investigate the data sharing permissions, for sure. It probably also depends on what you already share on Insta and FB (aka, with Meta as a whole).

Meta’s ‘Twitter Killer’ App Is Coming Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, teased a new app called Threads that is set to take on Twitter for real-time digital conversations.

“The app appears to function much like Twitter, emphasizing public conversations, with users able to follow people they already do on Instagram. Some techies have referred to the coming app as a ‘Twitter killer.’”
