Been working on how magic channeling looks in my headworld. Specifically with the Pseudo-Celestials. So here's beasty Donovan not channeling, normal channeling and Celestial channeling. Everyone on Alta has a different colour and he just happens to be red. Celestial magic is not red lol

cw: blood - Been doing a whole lot of stuff with Donovan. Exploring his relationship with his beasty self, familiarizing myself with his snoot and exploring how his first rage/fear induced change went. It went poorly. And when he came to in his human form he had a very bad day.

He is done. I opted to go back to having his skin visible in his beast body. It just brings his design together so nicely. His design has changed a bit since I first drew him but I like where he's at.

Donovan's beast form is curled around his human self with his jaws locked around his chest and both hands grasping him to hold him in place. There is red lightning coming from his mouth and his marks are lit up red as well.

I have rendered a thing for the first time in a hot minute. It's not perfect but I'm still happy with it. Donovan spends a good amount of time afraid of his beast self. Including many nightmares of him killing him.

One can make cool greys or warm greys, depending on one's own preference. I get to watch these birds in the middle of the city and at one of the common visited parks in Bangalore.
