Doing All I can to Help My Mother My mother is the pillar of my family. She has been for most of my life. My mother was given the news that she has a tumour within her spine some months ago. She is undergoing bone-biopsies, radiation treatments, and more while they try and fully diagnose what this tumour is and how it is going to affect her future and thus the future of my siblings and my grandmother. My mother has been a sole income for my brother and grandmother for years due to my brother's health declines and my grandmother's(her mother's) aging. My brother is now caring for my mother and grandmother 24/7 and unable to find work due to these responsibilities. The spinal tumour my mother has has caused a fracture within the vertebrae which causes her excruciating pain. You can imagine that this fracture has little chance to manage healing with something growing inside of it. The doctors are not yet saying cancer, but with all precautions ahead, this is how we are having to face it. 22 Rounds of radiation will be started soon. My mother has struggled with cancer diagnosis prior to this and has had it in remission for several years now. Something we've all been so proud of during her check up appointments as they were spread further and further apart. This has been the hardest thing I've had to write in my entire life. I'm terrified once again that cancer will try and take my mother from me before she's been able to fully live her life. Due to my own financial situation and path set in motion for me to begin attending college this year in September full time, I am unable to provide financial aid to my mother after July of this year. All donations will be sent directly to my mother to assist with medications, insurance, doctor's appointments, gas, food, pet food and medications, and more. Every dollar and dime is appreciated and means more to me and my family than words will be able to express. Thank you for your time in reading, sharing, and/or donating.
