This isn't the flex the WA Govt thinks this is.
It's a public declaration that despite years of boasting about budget surplus, the WA Govt either refuses to invest in equitable access to essential services such as emergency healthcare.

Community banding together to fundraise for essential equipment is admirable but this raises a very big question.
Why should regional communities have to do this?
The WA state govt proudly spends less per capita on ambulance services than any other state in Australia.

Freedom of speech is only allowed if expressed in a European/Pฤkehฤ way. Not the promise of a government to "...deliver for every New Zealander, regardless of who we are..."
Mฤori culture is only acceptable for sporting events, tourism, and welcoming dignitories

I'm currently undergoing the mammoth task of redesigning the entire curriculum ๐
The approach I've taken has been that students choose which format they prefer i.e. read this chapter or watch this video or listen to this podcast.
I'm currently trying to ensure all pre-learning is in bite sized chunks and presented in a range of modalities: short ilectures, readings, summary notes, audio and videos.
It's a bit more work creating the modules, but so far it seems to work well!
A big thanks to Naomi and Tracey from our school leadership for organising this.
Also a special shout out to my friend and colleague Jeremy for our (unplanned) matching #paramedic green outfits ๐

The highlight for me was an excellent presentation on an iSOLT project using short form podcasts to improve student engagement with clinical unit pre-learning materials. I'm very excited to follow this project!

Today the #CurtinSchoolofNursing held a fantastic #professional #development day for our #academic staff. Topics included all things assessment, AI and improving student engagement with learning.

#bombsquad and #specialops leaders, if you aren't recruiting parents with experience in moving electronic toys while their toddlers are napping...
There's your untapped wealth of expertise in stealth and delicate handling, gained in real-world, high pressure environments.
You're welcome.
A few from ๐ฆ are around. Hoping we see more soon!

There's just one problem.
What are we calling a post here?
Surely it's not a Tweet, but I've also just googled some alternatives and learnt some slang I really could have lived without...
This is a great start, now we just need the federal government to follow suit and make Medicare/PBS changes.

Highlighting how important compassion is to the therapeutic patient-clinician relationship.
It turns out, that "excellent" clinician who can't talk to people (we all know one) isn't that excellent after all!
I've finally made it over to the good place. Where are all my #paramedic buddies at?
Also hoping to find #MedSky is more comparable to the pre-Musk MedTwitter days.
This is great.
Maybe it will remind me that often, replying the same day is not a wise idea on my behalf ๐
