Not a clue if this would work, but could you roto-mold/brush on a layer of silicone and then fill it with foam? And then you could adhere silicone to silicone, and the joining of those pieces would be pretty strong. I think?

Throwback to that time years ago when I sent my friend who lives on the other side of the planet a card. This is all it said:

As an independent artist, it may be many years (if ever) before you get to create the work that you want. You will have clients who demand objectively bad things and you have to do it anyway. It takes resilience to stick with it until you find what works, but it's so worth it when you do :)

The thing about art as a business is that it will fundamentally change your relationship to art. Running an art business is not the same as maintaining a creative practice, and I need the latter to be fulfilled in life. Burnout prevention is SO important, especially in an industry that glorifies it

Yeah I'm always sort of stunned at how cartoonishly evil some people are? Not to minimize or trivialize the harm they cause, but you mean to tell me in full sincerity they have an evil island where they all meet up?? If this was a plot point in a book we'd call it an overused trope -.-

I have a hard time taking advice from people who promote hustle culture and maximizing productivity and whatnot. Like what is the point if your entire day is crammed to the brim with work stuff? When do you actually get to enjoy the fruits of your labor?
