I'd been meaning to read his novels for years now (after loving his comics). But now I can't stomach the idea of it.

It’s possible that the first 6 Cocteau Twins albums were all Christmas albums this whole time.

I figured that I would throw up my favorite reads of the year. Tons of books that I really liked didn’t make the list, but you have to cut it somewhere.

The ones at the top I loved marginally more than the bottom.

I certainly appreciate that. It does make entry into the system a bit more intimidating.

Right now it’s like going to a party where you were supposed to meet people there, but no one you know has shown up yet, and everyone else in the party is talking about sports and cars.

My armchair diagnosis is that he was probably manic and on the spectrum. That created obsessive focuses with the unhinged drive to fully explore his whims. Even at the detriment of those around him.
