My 200th book was Truth Telling by Michelle Good. Highly recommend, especially for Canadians who take their Indigenous anti-racism seriously. Be prepared to feel uncomfortable, and to sit with some seriously ugly truth.

I think folks weirded out by the thought of fucking xenos a) didn't watch the same move I did because xenos fucking characters is the medium in which the point of the movie is made and b) missed the entire not-even-subtext-but-blatently-in-your-face-(literally) design of Geiger's ENTIRE catalogue.

Okay, look, I tried the whole "treat yourself like a creature in a zoo" thing tonight, and not only did it work but it made me smile.

Probably 'cause I was walking around the house saying things like, "the creature's nest is getting cluttered, should probably clean it off so they can sleep better."

Largely it's been explained as rage at watching his mum die & drowning as a kid. Except maybe he only *nearly* drowned or maybe his mum resurrected him using dark magic. Both have been claimed as canon.

These movies are SO bad. The Halloween ones got better depending on which timeline you chose, but I don't know how much Friday the 13th I can take. 😆

Part 3 is almost over & I've honestly been mostly on my phone because it's *super* not holding my attention.
