Nach über 30 Jahren habe ich mir mal wieder die alten Dias meiner ersten Reise nach New York und Washington 1992 angeschaut. Mangels Projektor erstmal nur durch den AGFA Gucki und mit dem Mobiltelefon aufgenommen.

Eigenartiges Gefühl - so fern und doch irgendwie so nah.

Three years ago we started our voyage across the Atlantic to New York onboard the majestic Queen Mary 2 with Alex Mendham & his orchestra.

The result of this memorable voyage is the coffee table book TRANSATLANTIC; all photos shot with my 1950s Rolleiflex camera.

Ich war am Wochenende von Trier nach Leipzig und zurück gefahren. Die Züge pünktlich, die Anschlüsse ohne Rennen erwischt, Bordrestaurant funktionierte.
DB - was ist los? Ich wusste gar nicht, was ich so früh am Ziel machen sollte. Und die übliche Entschädigung für die Verspätung gab’s auch nicht…
