About Village Agency Workshop
Village Agency Workshop project was established in year 2005 and KHRG facilitating these numbers of workshop across the seven Districts of local defined Karen State (KNU administrating control areas). Village Agency Workshops are become a core part of KHRG’s field-based work and reflect the organization’s long-standing commitment to local empowerment, participatory learning, and grassroots documentation. Village Agency Workshops aiming to create space for villagers to come together, share experiences, and find practical ways to respond to the challenges they face. Moreover, these workshops aimed to increase villagers' confidence, through realizing their own strength and capacity from past experiences and understanding what international recognized human rights. At the same time these gatherings remind us that when communities unite, they can protect their rights and support one another with strength and dignity.
KHRG will continue working with communities to support local responses and amplify the voices of villagers facing ongoing conflict.
