'Europe must shift gears'. Completely agree with @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu at @weforum.org: Research and Innovation have a crucial part to play in this! That must upscaling the fantastic instruments we have honed over many years, like the ERC, EIC, MSCA and Erasmus+.

At this time, it's doubly important that universities build bridges where others build walls! But at this time, Europe also needs to turbo-charge its R&I spending to ensure Europe remains globally competitive!
