Thank you Have I Been Flocked for the follow and everything that you do.
No one else has put more pressure on Flock than you have this year.
Public record requests are Flock's Achilles's heel, as Have I Been Flocked has amply demonstrated.
🤣🤣🤣 Are we self-styled privacy advocates?

We are grateful to @twrling.bsky.social for backing up our assertions that California law was violated.
"She said that in her view, “They are in absolute violation of SB 34, and they’re in arguable violation of SB 54.”"
We helped make Santa Cruz the first city in California to kick Flock out of town.
One city down, 328 to go to reach our goal kicking Flock out of California.
Stay tuned.

We won.
The Santa Cruz City Council voted 6-1 to cancel the Flock contract.
Santa Cruz in the first city in California to Get the Flock Out of our town.
Our reports of illegal data sharing with ICE, out-of-state agencies and a stalker police chief helped persuade Santa Cruz City Council members to put Flock contract cancellation on Tuesday's agenda.
If this passes, Tuesday's vote Santa Cruz will be the first city in California to cancel Flock.
Yet another Flock self-own:
Charlottesville, Va canceled their Flock contract due to Langley's unhinged email.
"It sounds like a CEO pouting" - Chief
Dr. Jon Padfield makes some great points in this video.

07.01.2026 14:45 — 👍 3 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0Does Flock Share Data With ICE or Federal Agencies? No, Flock does not have a contract with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or any sub-agencies of the Department of Homeland Security. Flock does not share customer data with any federal agency without a local customer’s explicit choice and control.
Has Flock Been Hacked? No, Flock has never been hacked. As license plate readers become more widely used across the country, questions about cybersecurity are both reasonable and necessary.
i see flock is having a totally normal day

The Flock CEO sent a bizarre, paranoid, whiny and unsolicited email to the Staunton Chief saying that Flock and law enforcement are under coordinated attack.
Staunton's response: "The City of Staunton wants to make it clear that the Flock Safety CEO’s narrative does not reflect the city’s values."

100% true.
Riverside County has an addiction to fowl play.
Their only hope is to go cold turkey off the Flock cameras.
But kidding aside, we heard that the turkeys escaped from both their captors and the pursuing deputies and are now safe in an undisclosed location until next Thanksgiving.
Worse, Flock is advising the San Jose Police Department to forward the keys, presumably via email, to another company.
Hopefully the SJPD is aware of credential security best practices and distributed the API keys in a secure manner.

"2. For the Plate Lookup API, here are the API keys for Peregrine's development team. You can then forward these to your contacts at Peregrine so they can complete the integration"
Distributing API keys via a link in an email is an example of Flock's cavalier attitude towards security.
Stolen turkey case - just before Thanksgiving.
