*I would add that the destabilising nature of recent immigration has not merely been felt in the U.K, but in - for example - the health outcomes of every country from whom the NHS has persistently poached clinicians.

It is in no way contradictory to hold the view that immigration - from the Romans to the Huguenots to the Irish and the Green Lanes Kurds - has brought many benefits, but that recent immigration has been too high and socially destabilising*, and that U.K citizens should decide who can settle here.

What “rant”? Strikes me as very level headed, moderate - one might even say quintessentially British - reflection on people trying to divide the nation, intimidate people, and force their performative, empty gesture ‘patriotism’ on others.

To be honest, I think he nailed it.

I see the Establishment's attempt to boost the political career of right wing influencer, convicted criminal, adulterer, Chat GPT botherer, and phoney working class stereotype Tom Skinner failed miserably.
